Doctrinal Statement
1. Verbal Inspiration - We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally and fully inspired by God. (II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:16; Psalms 119:89; Psalms 19:7)
2. Trinity of the Godhead – We believe in a Triune God that is sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent who co-exists in three persons – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26-27; Matthews 3:16-17; I John 5:7; John 14:6)
3. Personality of Satan - We believe in the personality of Satan and his present position as the god of this world system and that He is in opposition to God and that he is limited in his power by God. (Genesis 3:1; Isaiah 14:12-15; Job 1:6, 2:1-7; Matthews 4:1-11, 25:41)
4. Genesis Account of Creation – We believe that God created the universe, the heavens and the earth and that he created man in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26, 2:7; Matthews 19:4-6; Psalms 8:1-9; Hebrews 2:8)
5. Original Sin - We believe that man was created in the Image of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are under condemnation which God’s righteousness requires. (Genesis 3:6-8; Romans 3:9-19; Romans 5:12; Psalms 51:5)
6. Virgin Birth – We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and that he is true God and True man. (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; John 1:13-14; Matthews 1:18-25; Galatians 4:4)
7. Blood Atonement – We believe that all who trust and believe in Jesus Christ are justified from all things on the grounds of his shed blood and are saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works. (Exodus 12:13; Leviticus 1:7; Hebrews 9:22; II Corinthians 5:17; Revelations 1:5; Ephesians 1:7; John 19:34; I John 5:6-8)
8. New Birth – We believe in salvation through grace, totally separate from works. The only conditions are repentance and faith. We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again into the family of God. (John 3:3-8; I Peter 1:23; Ephesians 1:7; II Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5)
9. Justification By Faith – We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and his death was substitutionary and sacrificial and that he rose again bodily from the grave for our justification. (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 4:1-8; Genesis
15:6; Hebrews 11:6)
10. Local Church Autonomy – We believe that the Church (1) is comprised of born again believers united together for the purpose of worship, edification, fellowship, spiritual growth and service (2) has been commissioned by Christ to spread the Gospel unto the uttermost parts of the earth (3) has absolute right of self-government free from interference from any hierarchy of individuals or organizations, and that the one and only Head is Christ who directs his Church through the power of the Holy Spirit (4) has final authority over all matters of membership, church policy, government, finance and benevolence and
decisions that are made by active believers in good standing. (Matthews 16:18; Matthews 18:15-17; I Corinthians 5:1-13; Philippians 2:1-6; I Timothy 3:1-15)
11. Eternal Security of the Believer in Christ Jesus – We believe that the scriptures teach the eternal security of the believer. We reject the teaching that a public profession in Christ is a license to Sin. (John 6:37; John 10:27-30; Roman 8:33-39; Hebrews 10:14; Romans 11:29; Hebrews 7:25; Proverbs 18:10; Colossians 2:8-10)
12. Resurrection of the Body – We believe in the resurrection of the crucified physical body of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he ascended into heaven and He is now there as our High Priest, Advocate and Intercessor. (Matthews 28:6, 27:51-53; I Corinthians 1:8; I Thessalonians 4:16)
13. Pre-millennial Return of Christ – We believe in the personal, visible and bodily pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 25:31; Zechariah 14:4-9; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:1-3; Luke 17:34-36)
14. Millennial Reign of Christ – We believe that Christ will return to establish his kingdom on earth reigning as the only Potentate, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Revelations 20:6; Isaiah 2:1:4, 11:1-12; Luke 1:32-33; Hebrews 12:14)
15. Judgment – We believe in the eternal conscious existence of both the saved and the unsaved – the saved in eternal blessedness with Christ, and the unsaved in eternal punishment. (Matthews 12:36; Acts 17:31; Hebrews 9:27; John 5:22; Revelations 20:11-15; Matthews 25:31)
16. Hell and Eternal Torment – We believe the unsaved are destined for spiritual death and a life of eternal separation from God in the lake of fire with Satan. (Psalms 9:17; Mark 9:43-47, Matthews 25:41-46; Revelations 14:9-11, 21:8; Luke 16:19-24)
17. Heaven and Eternal Glory - We believe all born again believers will spend a life of eternal bliss in Heaven with Christ. (Revelations 21:1; 21:9-27; 22:1-7)
18. Church Ordinances - We believe that Christ gave only two ordinances to His church which are to be observed until he comes: The Lord's Supper and Christian Baptism which is my immersion in much water. (Matthew 26:26-28; 1Corinthians 11:23-26; Matthew 3:13; 28:19)
